The Kenwood TH-F6 is a tri-band handheld radio that is capable of reception from the AM broadcast band up to 1.3 GHz. Its maximum power output is 5 watts on the 2 meter, 1.25 meter, and 70 centimeter amateur bands. Its minimum power output may be set to 50 mw. It is capable of reception of FM, AM, SSB, and CW signals. It may also be configured for 9600 baud data output and for this reason, I use it to test and maintain my 9600 baud VARA FM Winlink node. I also use its wide receive capability to monitor my 23 cm transmissions.
